Michela Zottini has 25-year experience in plant molecular biology and plant physiology. The main topic of her research is the study of signaling pathways activated in plants by internal/external stimuli. In particular, in the last decade she focused her studies on two main issues: i) cytosolic and organelle calcium and nitric oxide signaling in cellular responses triggered by stress and physiological stimuli and ii) plant mitochondria morphology and functionality.
